Llama’s on the loose

Leaving the dinosaurs behind, a group of intrepid young explorers sought out new adventures during their school holiday.

The team of young people, each with varying levels of disability, put their best foot forward to lead their Llamas around the mountains of Wales on an exclusive day trip with members of staff from the Positive Futures team.

After spending some quality time with the Llamas the group proceeded to walk the Llamas through the Berwyn Mountains as they continued their adventure around the mountain track. Taking in the scenic route of the views across the mountains with the Llamas, Kevin Leavitt from the Positive Futures team expressed how pleased he was with the involvement group had in the activities and how the team had embraced the challenge to take part in the Llama adventure.

The culmination to a weeklong range of activities, the trip to Wales with the Llama’s was the end of the adventurous week of activities that had been run by the Leisure Services’ Positive Futures team which Kevin continued to highlight,

“Llamageddon was part of a week long activity programme which we had organised for young people with disabilities from all over the borough. We aim to provide a range of activities throughout the school holidays and this half term have offered fishing, various sports, wheels for all, bowling, quasar and a family fun day. We have to thank all the young people and staff involved for making it such a success.”
