Visitor Award for Crosby Lakeside

PIQAS_LogoProviding Sefton’s first residential facility for disabled children and young people, the Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre has been celebrating another first with their recent accreditation as a Quality Assured Place of Interest.


Assessed for the award through an external assessment by VisitEngland, the centre underwent mystery visits before receiving glowing feedback on the sites presentation, customer care and the range of services which are offered to visitors. Open for less than twelve months the centre is making waves with National Governing Bodies which recognise the centres facilties for children and young people in Sefton now having achieved “On Board” accreditation which recognises the delivery of sailing activities for young people and RYA Foundation status for the range of activities provided for disabled children, young people and adults.

Active Choices Replaces Leisure Passport

Active Choices is a new scheme introduced by Active Sefton to offer everyone the opportunity to make savings whilst using leisure services across Sefton.Active_Choices

The Leisure Passport Scheme will cease to exist from March 31st 2011 and will be replaced by the new Active Choices Card.
