Swimming Pools
With not one, but two indoor heated swimming pools, the Meadows leisure centre pools are a great place to take a dip and make a splash whatever the weather.
Whether you are an expert swimmer or are taking your first dip why not make use of the swimming pools at Meadows? The large 25m x 12m pool is ideal for swimming galas and the stronger swimmers while the two 12m x 12m learner pools are a great place to take your first dip.
As part of the Government initiative to offer free swimming, Meadows leisure centre will be offering access to free swimming for all children aged 16 and under and all residents aged sixty and over. All you have to do is register for your Active Sefton card (or bring yours along if you already have one) and use the pool*

At Meadows we know taking your first dip can be frightening, especially for younger swimmers. That is why we are running parent and toddler swimming sessions to help younger swimmers make a gentle splash. In addition to this, we also offer swimming lessons to help your child gain their water wings.
All our swimming lessons follow the Active Aqua guide, which can be downloaded by clicking here This brochure provides you with further information about our lessons and how they are structured. To provide younger swimmers with rewards for their achievements we issue children with a swimming passport which they can use to track their swimming progress and collect rewards for their achievements.
