The 1km cycle track at Litherland Sports Park plays host to the 'Sefton Cycling Academy' hosted by the Mercury Cycling Club. The club run cycling sessions and activites including the Go-Ride skills tests and talent team tests. You could be the next world champion!
Go Ride!
Go Ride is run by Sefton Cycling Academy (incorporating Liverpool Mercury Cycling Club). Sessions run every Monday night (except bank hoildays) 6pm to 7 pm at Litherland Sports Park, this is a cycling activity and there is no charge, contact Paul or Nick for more imformation.

'Freewheeling' is exactly what it says. You can loan a bike FREE from Litherland Sports Park and any of the Freewheeling centres throughout the borough. Each centre has a variety of sized ladies and gents bikes. Some bikes have baby seats (selected centres only) so you can take the family!
'Wheels for All' is also part of the Freewheeling scheme and has specially adapted cycles for people with special needs and/or disabilities. There are a variety of cycles available for use including hand cycles, tandems, quad cycles, and tricycles. The bikes are available for use by groups, schools and individuals. Dedicated 'Wheels for All' cycling sessions are available on Wednesdays and Fridays.
'Competitive Cycle Events' The 1km cycle circuit is available for hire by clubs wishing to promote a competitive event. The event must be run under the rules and guidelines of the sports governing body.
'Adult Cycle Training' Cycle training sessions for people who would like to get back on their bike. We offer 3 levels of training, level 1 for the absolute beginner, level 2/3 for those who can ride but lack confidence.
