Volunteer Development
Due to our current capacity, we are unable to accept any additional volunteers at present. If you would like to express your interest, we are happy to hold your details in our database until we have the capacity to accept new volunteers into the programme.
We are looking for people aged 14+ who are enthusiastic and passionate in sport and recreation. We want to recruit people who are reliable and willing to complete at least 20 hours within a 12-month period.
The programme has the London 2012 Inspire mark accreditation, which gives us the opportunity to link in with other London 2012 projects and ensure the spirit of the games is reflected in Sefton.
Opportunities available are varied but include the following:
- Coaching
- Administration
- Event support and preparation
- Supporting people with disabilities in a sporting contract
There will be a number of free training courses available to you and for more specific and expensive courses there will be a reduced fee for members of our Active Sefton 2012 Volunteer Programme.
